Scholarships

The Rosa Luxemburg Foundation awards scholarships to undergraduates and PhD students who are highly qualified and have a strongly developed social interest and social commitment in line with the Foundation’s ideals. The scholarship department aims to compensate social, political or gender discrimination.

Since 1999, the Rosa Luxemburg Foundation has been able to grant scholarships to hundreds of students and PhD students from Germany and abroad. Every year about 120 new scholars are selected, roughly 35 of them are from abroad, among them a high number of women.

The work of the scholarship department is supported by liaison professors at universities and colleges all over Germany.

The Rosa Luxemburg Foundation’s scholarship department offers scholarship holders a wide-ranging development program. In addition to introductory courses, it includes seminars on academic study techniques, seminars for PhD students, expert conferences, summer academies, workshops and educational trips. Moreover, all those receiving support can participate in the Foundation’s wide ranging activities, including political education, international projects and research.

For more information on scholarships and application procedures, please contact our office in Tel Aviv, and refer to the Foundation’s English website at www.rosalux.de or contact our office in Berlin directly:
